POLAR ANNOUNCED THE ($229) M430, A NEW VERSION OF THE PREVIOUS RUNNER’S WATCH

 

A Finnish company Polar, best known for its running watches, recently announced the launch of its newest running watch aptly named, Polar M430. Which is a successor to the polar’s M400 running watch that adds an wrist-based heart rate sensor. According to technology news website, this running watch has a waterproof body with six LED, built-in GPS and great indoor activity tracking. You don’t worry about the battery because Polar M430 has a bigger battery, last up to 30 hrs(usage).

On the surface, the Polar M430 looks a lot like the the previous models — it still has a monochrome display and the same unibody design, meaning that you can’t swap out straps — but it weighs just 51g (1.8 ounces) compared with 56g, or two ounces, for the Polar M400. It also has a redesigned perforated strap, for the breathability.

Like other fitness trackers, it is able to pair with any smartphone device whether it is android or IOS, and deliver phone calls, text, and app notifications. It has a 6 LED light for optical heart rate sensing. By using this, you don’t need a strap, it’s able to deliver the same accurate result as the chest strap does, but it can do just without chest strap. It also has a built-in accelerometer that can detect pace, distance, and cadence for indoor runs. It can also track steps, distance, sleep and calories burned, as well as display notifications from your phone.

Polar M430 Price

 

The Polar M430 comes in dark gray, orange and white, and will begin shipping in Feb 2018 for $230 or £200. That converts to about AU$335, with an Australian pricing yet to be announced.
